Finding yourself in today's world is comparable to finding a tear-drop in an ocean. Its that difficult. And, i think, because its such a seemingly impossible task we succumb to the idea that it is impossible. Only...it isn't. Taking favor to someone else's ideas or being inspired by others is always a good thing. But it isnt a defining-thing. And as difficult a task as defining one's self can be, distinguishing yourself and impressing the world is that much harder. and I'm stuck.

Politics wedged inside a sexy Jimmy Choo-pump

I don't impress easily. I've been blessed/cursed with this inner-expectancy nature. So when I meet - who most would assume to be- impressive people, I am anything but. However, as with any earthly-thing, there is an exception to even the sternest of rules. Mohandas "the mahatma" Gandhi is the exception to mine. Dec. 13, '08 I declared in a blog-post that I am not a political person. What the hell does that even mean?! LOL. Needless to say, I retract my statement. I am EXTREMELY political, in fact.

For the lesser-endowed:
Politics are not always a matter of rights, moreover one of reason. And any enlightened person will beg to reason. I don't necessarily believe in justice based on right and wrong. Thus where my initial political-ignorance stemmed. I am, however, partial to the idea of good and bad. And its with that, that I've changed my views. One with a 'valid' opinion should always be willing to voice it in any such manner. Hell! even an invalid opinion should be spoken/heard. Perhaps THEN, learning will occur. ANYWHO! Alongside my reading the 700+ bio. written about The Mahatma, I saw a movie based on his life this past wkend [which ceratinly made what I've read so far more understandable lol].

"No one had ever succeeded pinning Gandhi to paper..." and nor will I try. I don't want to. I feel like AT BEST, I'd be discrediting his accomplishments by attempting to grasp/convey them through what is my uninformed, inexperienced, premature words and ideas. But I can encourage you to become familiar with him. Not just know him. Understand him. incredible.

The Dermal-Piercing process

EVERYday I get at least 2 people questioning my dermal-piercings. So here's the scoop:

As much as I'd like to embelish and say I have two screws wedged in either side of my face, just slightly grazing my skull- thats not the case! Nor am i that much of a G. lol. Simply, imagine a small implant just beneath the surface of the skin. With three small incisions the seed-sized frame is embedded and the jewel simply screws atop the part left sticking out. simple! for the most part- painless. not all that cost-efficient [i paid $85 per], but cool. And for now MAJOR att. grabbers.

Happy New Year

Happy belated birthday to me! I'm 20! Ironically, my New Year's Eve birthday was spent much like the previous year. I over-indulged in things I didn't need [i.e. FOOD], complained [alot], talked about what I wanted to do [only didn't], stayed in, and rounded the night off with a prayer. It was a good day.

I'm not the 'resolution' type [if there is a such]. In fact, I suppose if I had a resolution [which I don't] it'd be to become a better 'Resolutionist'. Go figure. At any rate, I have great intentions for 2009. Yes. I like that. I am an 'Intentionist'! I don't think its as rule-bearing as making resolutions. I just look forward to whats to come. And I hope to remain as enthused as I am now throughout the year-
